CREATION
The sun and the earth represent the story of creation. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” In six days… in ways yet mysterious to man… He spoke, and heaven and earth unfolded … graced by man and women endowed with Heavenly beauty and free minds.
RAM IN THICKET
Representing the sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham. This story reminds us of one which occurred hundreds of years later when Father and Son went up a hill on a Friday afternoon. But there was no reprieve. Jesus died. In an act beyond our understanding, free minds chose waywardness…and separation …but the Love that created also had provided for restoration through Jesus the Son… illustrated by the offering of Isaac who was divinely replaced by the ram in the thicket.
TEN COMMANDMENTS
The tables of the laws given on Mt. Sinai. Jesus said: “If ye love me, keep my commandment.” Lovingly recalling mankind to His eternal way of life, God wrote His ten basic laws on stone, entrusting them to His chosen exemplars, the Jews.
BURNING BUSH
Represents the call of Moses to do a specific work for God. Contrarily, His enlightened people did not lead but followed the unenlightened. Even so, He was their faithful Deliverer … in miraculous and unusual ways…once calling from a burning bush to enlist the meek exile Moses to lead His people out of Egypt.
SEVEN CANDLESTICKS
Golden candlesticks representing the sanctuary service. For a closer contract with His people, God had a tabernacle built…in it His Hoy Place, an altar, and symbolic furnishings such as the seven golden candlesticks…all pointing towards the coming ministry of Jesus.
